Highest recorded level of unemployment
Today it was announced that unemployment has hit it’s highest level ever seen. The country is going through one of the toughest times since the last recession of the 90s and things seem to get from bad to worse. With so many small companies and larger ones going into administration more and more people are finding themselves up for the unemployment chop.
The figures are way above the 2 million mark and are set to sore even higher, PM Gorden Brown and the works and pensions minister stated that there are jobs out there that can be filled. I would like to differ as the figures shown are far higher then what is actually available in the employment market.
Many workers are starting to blame foreign people for taking the jobs that could of been filled by a British citizens, but i believe that is not true, as the main reason for the massive loss in jobs in the UK and right across the world are due to the slow down in the economy, blaming foreign workers would be far to easy of an answer on this occasion.
